Come and see the waterfalls of Hida-Osaka, recognised as Gifu Prefecture's Future Heritage and Gifu's Treasure! This tour takes you to the waterfalls in Hid-Osaka, about 40 minutes one way by regular bus from Takayama or Gero Onsen. This time, you will take a guided tour of one of these waterfalls, Mitsu-taki Falls. The Mitsu-taki Waterfalls can be seen falling in three stages (lower stage 5 m, middle stage 11 m and upper stage 6 m). Starting from Gandate Park, it is only a five-minute walk from the car park to Takimi Bridge, where the first waterfall (a distant view of the lower and middle sections of the Mitsu Falls) can be seen, so you can easily view the falls with light clothing. Further upstream from Takimi Bridge, a boardwalk takes you around all three of the waterfalls. Osaka waterfalls has been recognised by Gifu Prefecture as a ‘NEXT GIFU HERITAGE’ as a region and tourism programme that could become a destination of choice for travellers from around the world.
